  ‘Beautifully Formed’ was recorded in 2020 as an audio spin-off of the performance ‘Retainers’. In the performance, a visceral story of an uncanny new tooth is juxtaposed with verbal descriptions of a call-centre job. Eventually the two strands combine into an incoherent but consistently deadpan conspiracy, which plays out against a painted backdrop, and involves moments of mime. In this audio piece an excerpt of the script has been isolated, and treated as an atmospheric fragment.
  
  ‘Toy Shop’ was recorded in 2020 as an audio adaptation of a performance of the same name, first presented at DE PLAYER in 2019 as the first in a series of three. Collectively named ‘Acting Agency’, these performances each draw on a shared fictional framework, in which a society consumed by its pursuit of extremely accelerated education develops (among other things) a dystopian attitude towards the interchangeability of people’s jobs, social functions, and subjectivities. In the performance version of ‘Toy Shop’, the handles of a sculptural prop – made of plexiglass and containing two table football figures – are turned slowly and continuously for the duration of the piece. The music in ‘Toy Shop’ was produced by Teddy Coste.
